  Taft Reserve
Trail Info
Taft Reserve has several miles of woodland trails with some skirting the
edges of fields. The trails are earthen and grass, the terrain gently rolling,
and in general this park is quite suitable for beginners. There is an abandoned house and farm outbuildings near Linville Road. There is also one earthen and one stone mound on the reserve. Dogs and horses are permitted on the trails.
Directions
Taft Reserve is located on Flint Ridge Road about one mile east of Linville Road, southeast of Newark, Ohio. From Columbus take I-70 east to SR 13. Take SR 13 north 1.2 miles to US 40 in Jacksontown. Turn east on US 40 and travel 3.6 miles to Linville Road. Take Linville Road north (the only way it goes from US 40) 3.4 miles to Flint Ridge Road. Turn east on Flint Ridge Road (the only way it goes) and go 0.9 mile to the parking lot. There is a restroom,
but no water at the parking lot.
