 Infirmary Mound Park
Trail Info
Infirmary Mound Park has several miles of trials largely skirting the edges
of fields with some woodland trails that make it worth the visit. The 4 mile Perimeter Trail is the best. Taking one unnamed connector NNE of the arena takes a dull leg off the Perimeter trail and avoids passing by the north side of the arena. The 0.25 mile Wildflower Trail adds a nice diversion. The mound for which the park was named stands atop the highest hill southeast of the arena and was so named because of it's proximity to an old county infirmary. Dogs on leashes and horses are permitted on the trails. There are picnic tables, shelters, playground equipment, and restrooms.
Directions
Infirmary Mound Park is located on State Route 37 about three miles south of Granville, Ohio. From Columbus take I-70 east to SR 37. Take SR 37 north about 6 miles to the park. The park entrance is about 0.5 mile north of the railroad crossing on the right (east) side of the road.
The Licking Park District has
description and location information and a
trail map of Infirmary Mound Park.
